Simon Christensen
Chief Executive Officer
Simon provides strategic leadership and direction to Chifley Business School. Simon has over 15 years of experience in management training and he contributes to continuous business improvement processes to support the development and delivery of high quality programs. His foresight and keen interest in business and management, has earned him the trust and respect of many long-term clients. His passion to deliver high quality management education and the desire to build strong and competent workforces are his driving forces.
Prior to joining Chifley Business School, Simon was Director of Corporate Training and Consulting at the Australian Institute of Management (AIM), QLD. Simon has served on prominent committees such as Aviation Australia’s Study Skills Council; Queensland Paraplegic and Quadriplegic Association; Brisbane Club’s Members Committee and is currently a member of Make a Difference Foundation (MAD Foundation).
Tony Holland
Manager, Operations
Tony has over nine years experience in the training industry servicing clients in diverse industry sectors including energy, planning and aerospace. In that time he has successfully managed some of Chifley Business School's largest corporate and alliance projects. His responsibilities include working with corporate learning and development managers to establish training needs and develop return on investment (ROI) strategies to deliver best practice training programs.
Tony has a practical and customer-focused approach to all projects which has resulted in the formation of strong partnerships between Chifley and its clients. His exceptional project management skills ensure that he always delivers on time and without fail exceeds clients' expectations.
Narelle Leech
Manager, Academic Services
Narelle heads up our Academic Services department and is responsible for the strategic and operational management of Chifley's Higher Education awards. This includes the on-going development and review of our award programs, securing and maintaining regulatory accreditation, management of academic and administrative staff, and overall department operations.
Prior to joining Chifley, Narelle spent six years at Mt Eliza Executive Education (Melbourne Business School) managing programs for the open enrolment sector, working closely with participants, program directors and external facilitators for successful program delivery.
Coupled with her higher education experience, Narelle also brings a wealth of marketing and communications knowledge to the role. She previously worked as a communications adviser for the Victorian State Government overseeing the deregulation of the gas and electricity industries, and also spent a number of years as a marketing executive with a large multi-national U.S. based automotive company.
Leanne Percy
Manager, Instructional Design & Research
Leanne Percy leads Chifley's Design and Development Team, which has responsibility for the design, development and production of a range of learning and assessment materials, including online and print resources to support learning and assessment through Chifley's postgraduate and vocational education and training programs.
Her previous experience includes the management of curriculum training services for the Australian Institute of Management, prior to that she was Curriculum Maintenance Manager, General Studies at the Victoria University with earlier roles as Curriculum Manager for Business Services and TAFE teacher in Accounting and Economics. Leanne has worked on a number of accreditation panels, across industries and has served on a number of not-for-profit Boards, including Business Skills Victoria and Ausdance Victoria.
Sam Russell
Manager, Commercial
Sam Russell is the Manager of Chifley’s Business Development team, the group responsible for identifying and engaging with potential clients of Chifley Business School and building strong, mutually beneficial relationships with them. It is Sam’s role to give the guidance, training, resources and support his team requires to enable them to provide their clients with the highest standards of service possible including (but by no means limited to) the development and delivery of training programs that are of the very highest standard and that produce an ROI that exceeds expectations.
Sam has 15 years of experience as a Business Development/Client Relationship Manager, a role that he earnestly enjoys. Prior to working for Chifley Business School Sam worked in the recruitment industry, for 10 years owning and operating his own agency, which provided him with the opportunity to gain invaluable first-hand knowledge and experience of business management, organisation finances, strategy, and HR/OD principles.
David Burns
Manager, Organisational Development
David has developed his business and human resource development knowledge and skills over the past twenty five years dealing with all levels of management. He has initiated and maintained a unique ability to develop individuals, while achieving organisational objectives. His exposure to diverse groups and values towards vocational and tertiary education provides the necessary underpinning knowledge to customise, adapt and recommend proven strategies focused on continuous improvement.
David has worked throughout Australia for many well-known organisations, he was the founder and principal of a successful business college. He was responsible for the launch of a legal firm’s professional development program. Having worked in the banking sector, David has an excellent frame of reference together with formal qualifications for the financial industry. He researched, developed and coordinated several national franchise development strategies. He also was a consultant on a number of industry advisory boards for both private and corporate identities.
David believes that studies undertaken by individuals must be relevant and specific whereby personal and organisational objectives can be achieved. He is also a member of and presenter for the International Society for Performance Improvement (USA), whose solutions are widely adopted internationally within human resource development fields.
